Our company was set up in the year 2000 by Barry Nicholls and provides services to Housing Companies and Associations and Commercial and Private individuals on projects in the construction industry.

In the early period of our life we were mainly involved with Housing Association and Local Authority refurbishment and maintenance contracts including Health & Safety Planning Supervisor Roles.

Our company then expanded into providing SAP Ratings and Disability Access Audits. During the year 2000 we carried out Project Design and Management for the MOD and in 2001 we acquired other clients to our list such as the ODPM, the Police Force and Fire & Rescue Services.

Architectural & Surveying Services Ltd also provides surveyors in addition to its own for such projects as Stock Condition Surveys or Temporary Staffing requirements.

2002/2003 saw an increase in clients with such appointments as tendering of Responsive Repairs and Maintenance contracts for several Local Authorities and Housing Associations. Also our requests from small private individuals for extensions/new build demand increased.

In April 2003 Julie Gilmour joined our company as joint Director and has expanded the companies services regarding Health & Safety & HR. www.housingservices.org.uk

National Housing Federation: 2004 saw the joint Authorship appointment of Architectural & Surveying Services to unite the "Best Practice in Maintenance" publication advising for RSL's of maintenance and asset management standards.

Our company has a mission statement of “whether you are an individual or company our service quality standard is the same”.
